The novel that I have taken up is Thuppukari, a novel by Malarvathi from Kanyakumari district. We have seen so much scientific development and scientific progress in modern times. We have created a robot with such artificial intelligence that it can even think what we are thinking. Even though we have developed so much scientifically, we are lagging behind in some basic things. I have chosen this novel because it portrays the lives of people who are doing low-class occupations or low-class people who are backward in such basic comfort.
